Lesson notes

Your reviews may answer a shopper's questions, but finding those answers can take time. When a product has many reviews, a shopper has to read through individual experiences to understand what customers generally like or complain about.

Help shoppers understand customer feedback at a glance

Someone looking at a product may first want to know what buyers think of its fit, quality, or ease of use. A short overview can help them understand the main points before they read individual reviews for more detail.

Shoppers browsing your home or collection pages may have a different question. Before choosing a product, they might want to know what customers think of your store overall. Showing feedback from across your store can help them learn about your products and service.

Both views are useful, but they serve different needs. A product summary describes feedback about one item. A store summary brings together feedback from across your range.

Show AI summaries on your product and store pages

This lesson introduces Judge.me's AI review insights. In the latest Review Widget, shoppers can see a summary paragraph, keywords marked positive, neutral, or negative, and a highlighted quote from a real review. The individual reviews remain below for anyone who wants to read more.

You'll also see two ways to summarize feedback across your store. The latest Happy Customers Widget can show these insights above your reviews. The standalone AI Reviews Summary Widget lets you add a store-wide summary to supported home, collection, blog, and content pages through Shopify Online Store 2.0 app blocks.

Product summaries need at least five published reviews containing text. Ratings alone do not count. The standalone store-wide summary needs more than five written reviews. Check that you use the latest widgets, and follow the upgrade prompt if one appears in your admin.

Start with a product that meets the review minimum, then continue to Lesson 6 to learn how to add answers to common questions with Product FAQs and Store FAQs.
